National Diploma in Agricultural Production
Program Overview
The National Diploma in Agricultural Production at Uganda Christian Institute for Professional Development (UCIPD) is a comprehensive program designed to develop skilled professionals in the field of agriculture. This diploma equips students with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in crop production, soil management, pest control, irrigation, and sustainable farming practices.
Graduates of this program will be well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to Uganda’s agricultural development and food security initiatives by applying modern agricultural techniques and management principles.
Program Duration
The diploma program is offered over a period of 2 years (4 semesters), combining classroom theory, practical laboratory sessions, and extensive fieldwork.
Minimum Academic Requirements for Admission
To qualify for admission into the National Diploma in Agricultural Production, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE): Passes in at least two (2) relevant science subjects such as Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, or Geography.

Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE): A minimum of five (5) passes including English Language, Mathematics, and a science subject (preferably Agriculture or Biology).

Equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions or countries will also be considered subject to approval.

Mature applicants aged 25 years and above with relevant work experience may apply through the mature entry route, which includes an entrance assessment.
